Requirements summary
Valid BC Ministry of Education Teaching Certificate (or eligible for).
Master’s degree (or coursework in progress) in Special Education or Inclusive Education (preferred).
Strong understanding of inclusive practices including universal design, differentiation, RTI, and formative assessment.
Demonstrated commitment to inclusion and success of all learners.
Experience supporting diverse learners including autism, developmental disabilities, learning disabilities, and social/emotional/behavioural needs.
Knowledge of Social Emotional Learning (SEL) and strategies for safe, caring, inclusive school environments.
Knowledge of BC Curriculum and ability to plan, implement, and assess instruction.
Experience with literacy and numeracy instruction including early reading intervention and language proficiency assessment.

60 (Peace River North) effective September 1, 2026 until return of the incumbent but not beyond June 30, 2027.
