Job description

  • School of Nursing Faculty of Human and Health Sciences Fort St John Part-Time, Term The University of Northern British Columbia (UNBC) invites applications for sessional instructor positions in the School of Nursing – NBNP for the Fall 2026 semester.

  • Current registration as a Practicing RN with the BCCNM is required for all clinical positions and is preferred for all other positions.

  • There is possibility of remote teaching for some theory courses; please indicate a preference for remote teaching in your application, if applicable.
  • Winter 2027 NRSG 300 Fundamentals Nursing Lab Facilitator – Contract is for 2.0 SCH Thur 11:00 – 01:50am and 2:00 – 04:50pm; Sept 09 – Dec 10, 2026 This course offers theoretical, laboratory and clinical practice learning with a focus on medical and surgical nursing of adults and older adults.
  • The course builds on previously introduced principles and concepts and provides students with opportunities to engage in clinical decision-making and therapeutic interventions with patients exhibiting complex and/or less stable health issues.

  • Salary The salary for Part-Time Sessional Instructors is determined on the basis of Semester Contact Hour (SCH) at a rate of $3,046.03 per SCH.
