Early childhood educators ensure a safe and engaging environment by designing and leading activities tailored to children's interests and developmental stages using the ymca playing to learn curriculum. They are responsible for providing quality care, building positive relationships with families, and maintaining compliance with all licensing and organizational standards.
Candidates must possess a basic early childhood educator certification recognized in british columbia and are required to obtain emergency first aid, cpr-C & aed certification within 30 days of starting. An infant toddler educator license or special needs educator certification are considered assets.
