Early childhood educators ensure a safe and engaging environment by designing and leading activities tailored to children's interests and developmental stages using the ymca playing to learn curriculum. They are responsible for providing quality care, building positive relationships with families, and maintaining a clean and safe environment while adhering to all licensing requirements.
Candidates must possess basic early childhood educator certification recognized in british columbia, along with required emergency first aid, cpr-C, and aed certificates (Obtainable within 30 days of start). An infant toddler educator license or special needs educator certification are considered assets.
