The teacher will create an inspiring class environment using a social-Emotional learning lens, fostering a love for language and literature while motivating students to develop foundational skills for further education. Key duties include developing culturally relevant, ib-Aligned curriculum, collaborating with support teams, and actively participating in faculty meetings and co-Curricular activities.
Candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree or higher with a specialization in latin and/Or history, along with ontario college of teachers certification or equivalent for intermediate/Senior levels in classical studies (Latin) and/Or history. Desired attributes include experience with ib teaching, strong curriculum development skills, and a relational approach incorporating social-Emotional learning and diversity principles.
