Museum interpreters are responsible for delivering engaging and effective interpretive programs that highlight local and worldwide biodiversity, ubc research, and conservation issues to support the museum's vision. Specific duties include interacting with visitors, utilizing museum specimens safely in programs, assisting with special events, and maintaining up-To-Date knowledge of collection information.
Candidates must have a high school graduation and a minimum of two years of experience or education in biology, natural sciences, education, or a related field. Essential qualifications include several seasons of interpretive or teaching experience with the public and children, strong communication and customer service skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
