The teacher will be responsible for creating an inspiring class environment using a social-Emotional learning lens, fostering a love of language and literature, and developing culturally relevant, inclusive english and history/Geography curriculums aligned with ib and ministry standards. Key duties also involve developing lesson plans focused on inquiry, communicating student progress, and actively participating in faculty meetings and co-Curricular activities.
Candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree or higher specializing in english and history and/Or geography, along with a valid ontario college of teachers certification (Or equivalent) with i/S qualifications in the relevant subjects. A minimum of three years of teaching experience and knowledge of the ib program are preferred, alongside a commitment to incorporating equity, diversity, and inclusion principles.
