The registered nurse will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for acutely ill patients, incorporating physical, social, spiritual, and psychological needs using an established framework. Responsibilities also include developing and revising care plans, providing patient education, supporting other healthcare professionals, and participating in quality improvement and research activities.
Applicants must hold current practicing registration as a registered nurse with the british columbia college of nurses and midwives (Bccnm) and are preferred to have 1-2 years of medical/Surgical experience. Successful completion of the fully funded post-Basic education program is mandatory before working in the high acuity department.
