The registered nurse assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care to meet patients' physical, social, spiritual, and psychological needs using an established framework. Responsibilities also include developing and revising care plans, incorporating patient teaching, and collegially sharing information and demonstrating procedures to support other healthcare professionals.
Applicants must possess current practicing registration as a registered nurse with the british columbia college of nurses and midwives (Bccnm) and successfully complete the required post-Basic education, which providence health care will fund. A minimum of 1-2 years of medical/Surgical experience is preferred, and applicants who have recently received post-Basic education funding from phc are not eligible.
