The lecturer is responsible for the design and delivery of an introductory Urdu course, including preparing content and conducting classes. Duties also include managing student interactions, grading assignments, and submitting final grades.
Applicants must hold a graduate-level degree in Urdu pedagogy, literature, or linguistics and possess native or near-native fluency. Demonstrated experience teaching Urdu at the university level is required.
Sessional dates of appointment: September 1, 2026 to April 30, 2027

Applicants must hold a graduate-level degree in Urdu language pedagogy, literature, linguistics, or a related field. Demonstrated experience teaching university-level Urdu language courses is required. Native, or near-native, Urdu language fluency is required.
Demonstrated excellence in teaching this course, or a similar course at the university level, is preferred. Preference in hiring is given to qualified individuals advanced to the rank of Sessional Lecturer II and Sessional Lecturer III in accordance with Article 14:12.
All normal duties related to the design and teaching of a University credit course, including preparation and delivery of course content; out-of-class interactions with students via e-mail and office hours; development, administration and marking of assignments, tests and exams; calculation and submission of grades; order all necessary readings.
