The intervenor supports communication and day-To-Day living for individuals with dual sensory impairment to promote independent living within their home and community settings. This includes empowering the individual in daily activities like hygiene, meal preparation, and volunteerism, while also providing necessary personal care and assisting with goal and program development.
Candidates must have a college diploma or certificate in the intervenor for deafblind persons program or a related human services field like dsw, ssw, or psw, along with experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, challenging behaviors, and mental health conditions. Proficiency in asl or see, a valid driver's license, reliable vehicle access, and the ability to lift 35 to 50 lbs are also required.
