The child and family therapist will provide direct services to children, youth, and their families within the day treatment program, focusing on emotional and behavioral mental health needs to improve functioning at home, school, and in social settings. This involves leading formulation, intervention strategies, assessments, and treatment planning within a multidisciplinary team, alongside providing consultation, education, and case management.
Candidates must have a post-Secondary diploma or degree in social work, psychology, counselling, or a combination of education and experience, along with a minimum of two years of relevant experience. Required qualifications include membership in a relevant professional regulatory body and knowledge of child and youth mental health legislation, plus the ability to work flexible hours including two evenings per week.
