The specialist supports the development and improvement of ethical review procedures, including establishing training programs, creating educational materials, and liaising with affiliated institutions. They may also conduct ethical reviews, respond to participant concerns, and determine if projects require reb review when delegated authority.
Candidates need a bachelor’s degree in a health-Related or equivalent field (Master’s preferred) along with a minimum of four years of experience in research or an ethics board setting, plus five years of ethics or clinical research experience. Demonstrated knowledge of key regulations like tcps 2, phipa, fippa, gcp, and fda rules is mandatory.
