The nurse clinician utilizes evidence-Informed practice to provide consultation and clinical expertise to staff, students, and patients in medical, surgical, or specialized clinic areas, role modeling direct care skills and performing complex nursing assessments. Responsibilities include evaluating care delivery, providing education, participating in research, quality improvement, and risk management activities within a designated clinical focus.
Candidates must hold current practicing registration as a registered nurse with the british columbia college of nurses and midwives (Bccnm) and possess three years of recent related clinical experience in the specialty area, including one year of education and/Or leadership experience. Completion of relevant post-Graduate coursework or certification is also required, along with a valid bc driver's license and access to a personal vehicle if necessary.
