The indigenous health liaison nurse plans, organizes, and evaluates health care needs and services for indigenous clients in community and hospital settings. They act as a liaison to enhance service delivery and facilitate connections between indigenous clients and service providers.
Candidates must have current registration as a registered nurse in british columbia and graduation from an approved nursing school with a public health component. Two years of recent, relevant nursing experience and knowledge of indigenous health approaches are also required.
