The nurse practitioner is accountable for comprehensive patient assessment, diagnosing conditions, initiating treatment including prescribing medications, and providing professional guidance within an interdisciplinary team. Responsibilities also include monitoring ongoing care, developing treatment plans, and participating in research and population health promotion activities.
Candidates must possess current practicing registration as a nurse practitioner with the british columbia college of nurses and midwives (Bccnm) and have recent relevant clinical nursing experience.
