The clinician demonstrates clinical expertise and leadership in evidence-Based wound and skin care by consulting, collaborating, and participating in direct client care, while also role modeling skills to staff and students. This role involves delivering educational activities, developing professional development programs, and participating in quality improvement, risk management, research, and special projects.
Candidates must hold current practicing registration as a registered nurse with the british columbia college of nurses and midwives and possess three years of recent related clinical skin and wound care experience, including one year in a leadership/Education role in a community health setting. A recognized course in wound ostomy and continence, a valid bc driver's license, and access to a personal vehicle are also required.
