Your responsibilities will include cleaning, sanitizing, and restocking supplies, as well as performing minor maintenance tasks as needed.
Additionally, you'll assist with setting up for events and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. POSTING DETAILS <ul> <li>Position-Custodian</li> <li>Start Date- As soon as possible (flexible)</li> <li>Schedule -Casual / On Call (hours vary)</li> <li>Location(s)- Varied</li> </ul> DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES <ul> <li>Performs a variety of cleaning and minor maintenance tasks in and around school district buildings as outlined in the Custodial Standards and Job Frequency Schedule.</li> <li>Empties and cleans the ‘Three Stream System’ containers – Organics, Waste and Recycling.</li> <li>Cleans and sanitizes school equipment and furniture as required.</li> <li>Picks up garbage on school district properties.</li> <li>Operates, cleans and maintains custodial tools and equipment for daily use.</li> </ul> REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS <ul> <li>Completion of Grade 10 (minimum).</li> <li>Completion of Building Service Worker Course.</li> <li>Ability to use judgement in applying clearly prescribed methods and procedures.</li> <li>Ability to communicate effectively using courtesy and tact in the routine exchange of information</li> <li>Physical ability to perform the required duties.</li> </ul> For your application to be considered, all required documents must be included: <ul> <li>Resume </li> <li>Building Service Worker certification</li> <li>Email addresses for a minimum of three references (ideally, former supervisors from your most recent/relevant role)</li> <li>Proof of completion of Grade 10 / graduation from high school (or completion of other post-secondary education)</li> </ul> PLEASE NOTE <ul> <li>In accordance with the Criminal Record Review Act, successful applicants will be required to consent to a Criminal Record Check prior to employment.</li> <li>We thank you for your interest in the Langley School District; however, only those persons selected for interviews will be contacted.</li> </ul>
