Requirements summary

Valid BC Ministry of Education Teaching Certificate (or eligible for).
Demonstrated ability to teach the identified subjects at the middle years level.
Experience with universal design and differentiation.
Knowledge/training in Social Emotional Learning.
Demonstrated ability to create a positive classroom community and support student belonging.
Strong belief in inclusion and student learning potential.
Understanding of the BC Curriculum and ability to plan short-term and long-term.
Willingness to work collaboratively with staff and on teacher teams.
Demonstrated use of pro-active classroom management and assessment practices.
Willingness to be a teacher advisor.
Ability to use technology/computers for instruction and reporting.
Experience/knowledge of UDL practices.

Job description

Position Description A temporary full time (1.0) Grade 7/Social Studies 9/English 9/Tag Teacher is required by School District No.
60 (Peace River North) effective September 1, 2026 to June 30, 2027.
The assignment will be at Dr.
Kearney Middle School. Dr.
Kearney Middle School is a vibrant middle school offering classes in grades 7-9.
We enroll a diverse student population of 600, 25% of whom are of Indigenous descent.
We have an active Parent Advisory Committee and a supportive parent community.
Our school is committed to student-centered learning, a focus on collaborative planning, and a caring environment to provide quality education.

Current salary grid is $72,720 - $118,770</li> <li>Benefits as per collective agreement with option to enroll in medical, dental, extended health, and group life insurance.
