Job Duties/Qualifications, Skills and Abilities(QSA) Job Duties Job Duties QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND EXPERIENCE Specific Accountabilities 1. Plan/facilitate the delivery of a learning program or course at all three levels within the Emergency Health Care Programs including: providing tutorial, counseling assistance; facilitating labs, scenario skill practice, small groups and lectures; evaluating course/program and result of teaching process; and revising/maintaining curriculum. 2. Develop and maintain community/agency partnerships. 3. Manage the learning environment. 4. Participate in program and division related initiatives. 5. Ability to travel.
Required Qualifications, Skills and Abilities (QSA) 1. Completion of an ACP (advanced Care Paramedic) program from an approved school. 2. A minimum of two years’ experience as an EMT-P/ACP. 3. Valid Practicing License with Saskatchewan College of Paramedics. 4. Current Instructor level certification in International Trauma Life Support (ITLS) and Basic Life Support (Heart and Stroke Foundation). 5. Current Provider level certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Pediatric Education for Pre-hospital Professionals (PEPP). 6. Understanding of an ability to apply basic principles and practices of adult education to assist learners with the required emergency health care knowledge and skills. 7. Well developed interpersonal and communication skills including excellent written and oral presentation skills and an ability to develop and maintain productive working relations with instructors, program administrators, employers, students, other clients and the public. 8. Experience facilitating students in a precepted practicum. 9. Demonstrates valuing diversity. Desired QSA
