Core responsibilities
Early childhood educators ensure a safe and engaging environment by designing and leading activities tailored to the developmental stages of children, adhering to the ymca playing to learn curriculum. They are also responsible for cultivating strong, positive relationships with parents, staff, and community partners to deliver high-Quality childcare.
Requirements summary
Candidates must possess a basic early childhood educator certification recognized in british columbia and the required infant toddler educator (Ite) license. A special needs educator (Sne) certification and training related to child growth and development are assets, and emergency first aid/Cpr-C/Aed certification is required shortly after hiring.
