The Lifeguard/Swim Instructor will be responsible for guarding and teaching swimming lessons in a positive and professional manner, which includes developing lesson plans and administering participant evaluations. This role also involves ensuring the safety of all individuals by following YMCA standards and performing routine pool maintenance and administrative duties.
Candidates must possess current Standard First Aid, CPR Level C and AED certificates, National Lifeguard - Pool Option certification, and Swim Instructor certification or equivalent. Experience as a Lifeguard or Swimming Instructor and access to reliable transportation are preferred, along with demonstrated high-level customer service skills.

Nature & Scope
The Lifeguard/Swim Instructor will report to the Aquatics Supervisor and work collaboratively with other members of the YMCA team to provide a safe and fun aquatics environment.
