Early Childhood Educator

Early childhood educators at the ymca are responsible for ensuring a safe and engaging environment by designing and leading activities tailored to children's developmental stages based on the ymca playing to learn curriculum. They must also cultivate positive relationships with parents and team members to deliver high-Quality childcare.

A required early childhood educator (Ece) license recognized in british columbia is mandatory, along with emergency first aid and cpr-C & aed certification (To be obtained within 30 days of starting). Infant toddler educator or special needs educator licenses, along with training in child growth and development, are considered assets.
