Core responsibilities
Early childhood educators ensure a safe and engaging environment by designing and leading activities tailored to the developmental stages of the children, adhering to the ymca playing to learn curriculum. They are also responsible for cultivating strong, positive relationships with parents, fellow educators, and community partners to deliver high-Quality childcare.
Requirements summary
Candidates must possess a basic early childhood educator certification recognized in british columbia and the required infant toddler educator (Ite) license. A special needs educator (Sne) certification is an asset, and candidates must obtain emergency first aid, cpr-C & aed certification within 30 days of starting.
