Core responsibilities
The autism support associate leads the team to ensure daily support provided to adults with autism meets their quality of life expectations and aligns with agency values, focusing on maximizing health, safety, and personal fulfillment. Responsibilities include implementing person centered planning, coaching staff, implementing behavior support plans, and acting as a liaison with various external contacts.
Requirements summary
Candidates must have either a developmental service worker diploma, human services diploma/Degree, or a personal support worker certificate, or alternatively, a high school diploma plus 5 years of related experience, preferably supporting individuals with autism. A valid g2 driver's license, access to a reliable vehicle, and the physical ability to support adults with autism, including performing nvci techniques, are mandatory.
