Core responsibilities
The autism support assistant is responsible for providing day-To-Day support to adults with autism to enhance their quality of life, ensuring alignment with agency values and supported person expectations. Responsibilities include implementing support plans, ensuring health and safety, coaching in various life skills, and maintaining accurate documentation.
Requirements summary
Candidates must have either a developmental service worker diploma, human services diploma/Degree, or a personal support worker certificate, or alternatively, a high school diploma plus five years of related experience, preferably supporting individuals with autism. A valid g2 driver's license, reliable vehicle, and the physical ability to support adults and perform cpi techniques are mandatory.
