The autism support assistant is responsible for providing daily support to adults with autism to enhance their quality of life, ensuring alignment with agency values and the goals of supported persons. Responsibilities include implementing support plans, ensuring health and safety, coaching in various life skills, and maintaining accurate documentation.
Candidates must have either a developmental service worker diploma, human services diploma/Degree, or a personal support worker certificate, or alternatively, a high school diploma plus one year of related experience, preferably supporting individuals with autism. A valid driver's license (Minimum g2) and access to a reliable vehicle are mandatory requirements.
