Core responsibilities

This role is responsible for expanding and delivering inclusive, culturally responsive social recreation programs for individuals living with dementia and their care partners in scarborough, which includes leading community outreach and co-Designing programming with diverse communities. Key duties also involve program logistics, budget monitoring, client assessments, coordinating community-Based programs, and delivering training and education to facilitators and families.

Requirements summary

Candidates must possess a post-Secondary degree or diploma in a relevant field like recreation and leisure or gerontology, along with three to five years of relevant experience working with persons living with dementia from diverse communities in scarborough. Exceptional english communication skills are required, and bilingualism in languages spoken by scarborough's diverse communities is a strong asset.
