Day camp head lifeguards are primarily responsible for the safety and supervision of all aquatic programs, including recreational swimming and canoeing or kayaking, depending on the site. This role also involves providing direct leadership to lifeguards and program leads, ensuring proper setup, safety checks, and maintenance of program equipment and environments.
Candidates must possess current lifesaving society certifications, including the national lifeguard (Nl) award and standard first aid & cpr level 'c', along with a minimum of one year of lifeguard experience. Applicants should also be at least 18 years old by june 30 and demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
