The instructor children and youth sports teaches and examines participants using ymca curriculum, developing short and long-Term lesson plans tailored to unique participant needs while maintaining a safe environment at all times. Responsibilities include delivering course content, coaching participants to success, communicating progress to parents, and managing program equipment.
Candidates must possess a diploma or degree in a field related to working with children or youth, or equivalent experience, along with a minimum of one year instructing children and teens in basketball and volleyball. Essential requirements include knowledge of child development stages and a commitment to the ymca’s mission, vision, and values, focusing on health and safety.
