The day camp lifeguard is responsible for maintaining a safe aquatic environment by strictly following all safety and lifeguarding procedures, responding to emergencies, and ensuring adherence to pool conduct guidelines by participants and staff. This role also involves supporting the staff team with equipment setup/Takedown, cleaning duties, and actively encouraging participants to engage in appropriate camp programs.
Candidates must possess current certifications including the lifesaving society's national lifeguard (Nl) award and standard first aid & cpr level 'c', and be a minimum of 17 years old by december 31st. Desired qualifications include previous lifeguarding experience and ymca day camp experience, alongside the ability to perform light to medium physical effort.
