The cooking program head is responsible for the direct setup and facilitation of the y-Cook program, ensuring high quality by understanding recipes, safety procedures, and maintaining a clean kitchen. This includes planning activities, creating grocery lists, ordering food, and addressing dietary needs, while also supporting general camp operations when not leading the cooking program.
Candidates must possess post-Secondary education (Completed or in progress) or equivalent experience, along with a valid standard first aid & cpr-C certificate and a food handler’s certificate valid through the contract end date. A minimum of one year of experience in a camp environment is required, with experience in cooking, baking, and instruction being assets.
