The vice principal will support the principal in fulfilling the duties outlined in section 28 of the nb education act, focusing on promoting optimum learning for all students. This involves instructional leadership, maintaining a positive school climate, monitoring student progress, strategic planning, and effective stakeholder communication.
Candidates must possess a valid new brunswick principal’s or interim principal’s certificate, a valid new brunswick teacher’s certificate (Preferably certificate vi), and a minimum of five years of successful teaching experience in the public school system. Eligibility is restricted to teachers who have or have had a continuing contract in new brunswick, unless no qualified applications are received.
