The veterinary student actively participates in medical and technical clinic activities, contributing to patient care, technical support, consultation assistance, and surgical assistance under veterinarian supervision. Responsibilities include assisting during consultations, performing delegated medical procedures, monitoring hospitalized animals, and assisting with technical duties like blood collection and radiography.
Candidates must be enrolled in the 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year of an avma-Accredited veterinary medicine program and be authorized to work in canada. The role requires active participation in clinical activities, including medical assistance, patient care, technical duties similar to a veterinary technician, and client service support.
