The veterinary student actively participates in the medical and technical activities of the clinic, contributing to patient care, technical support, and assisting in consultations and surgery under veterinary supervision. Responsibilities include performing delegated medical acts, monitoring hospitalized animals, and handling technical tasks similar to a veterinary technician assistant.
Candidates must be enrolled in the 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year of an avma-Accredited veterinary medicine program and be authorized to work in canada. The role is a paid summer internship/Employment opportunity lasting 6 to 12 weeks, requiring 30 to 40 hours per week, including evenings and weekends.
