The veterinary student actively participates in the medical and technical activities of the clinic, contributing to patient care, technical support, and assisting in consultations and surgery under veterinarian supervision. Responsibilities include performing delegated tasks such as physical exams, specimen collection, administering treatments, monitoring hospitalized animals, and assisting in surgical procedures.
Applicants must be currently enrolled in the 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year of an avma-Accredited veterinary medicine program and must be authorized to work in canada. This paid summer internship/Employment lasts 6 to 12 weeks, requiring 30 to 40 hours per week, including evenings and weekends.
