Part-Time Academic (NURS 2740: Nursing and Family Health) - Fall 2026 Posting Number PTAP3389P Department/Unit Nursing Location Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada Job Summary & Key Responsibilities In this 6-credit hour course, nurses combine knowledge from primary health care, public health, social and nursing sciences, recognizing the uniqueness and diversity in family systems to support transitions that occur across the life course. Understanding health promotion, protection and prevention of illness in the context of family development is the focus of this course. The successful candidate will be co-teaching this course with another lecturer. FORMAT: Lectures (3 × 2h/week) – In-Person delivery on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays This appointment runs from September 1, 2026 until December 31, 2026. The part-time academic instructor reports directly to the Associate Director, Undergraduate Studies Academic. A strong clinical background in Family Health Nursing. and prior teaching experience would be an asset. PhD preferred. Salary Range/Pay Rate Per CUPE Collective Agreement
