Part-Time Academic (KINE 4902: Honours Two - Research and Thesis) - Winter 2027 Posting Number PTAP3247P Department/Unit Health & Human Performance Location Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada Job Summary & Key Responsibilities The part-time academic will be responsible for teaching: KINE 4902- Honours Two (Research and Thesis). The course will be offered in the Winter Term, from January 1st, 2027- April 30th, 2027. NOTE: This is an online asynchronouscourse and involves lecture. Students carry out an independent piece of original research in the respective field of expertise of their supervisor. Students become familiar with the experimental procedures involved in data collection, analysis, literature searches and scientific writing. NOTE: Students must take both Kinesiology Honours 1 and 2 (6 credit hours total) to meet the honours course requirement for the Kinesiology Honours degree. The part-time academic will be responsible for all aspects of teaching and administering the course, including preparing and delivering lectures and preparation and grading of assignments. The course will be taught using Brightspace (LMS- learning management system) and in-person on the Halifax Campus for the Winter term. In addition, the part-time academic should expect to be engaged in course preparation in advance of the term. The part-time academic may consider offering one to two office hours outside of class time per week.
