Core responsibilities

The community support worker assists adult clients with their social, emotional, physical, vocational, and daily life skill development. They are responsible for participating in the development of individual service plans and leading programming in both onsite and community environments.

Requirements summary

Candidates must hold a degree or diploma in social services, human services, or education and possess 1-2 years of experience working with people with developmental disabilities. Applicants are also required to have a valid class 5 driver's license, first aid/Cpr certification, and the ability to perform physical tasks such as lifts and transfers.
