The Early Childhood Educator delivers an enriched, inclusive, and play-based program for children with typical and special needs. They collaborate with the Manager to ensure the specific needs of children and families in the community are met.
Candidates must hold a BC Early Childhood Educator or Assistant Certification and have valid First Aid/CPR and Criminal Record clearances. Proficiency in English and basic computer literacy are required, while Special Needs certification is considered an asset.

$26.83 - $29.76 + 10.6% in lieu of benefits (valid BC ECE Assistant Certificate)
$24.54 - $27.19 + 10.6% in lieu of benefits (valid BC ECE Assistant Certificate)
*DDA is a CSSEA employer paying JJEP collective agreement rates; WE funding is not paid above the ECE wage. (2024 rates, ratification of new collective agreement in process)
The Early Childhood Educator (ECE) provides an enriched program for children which meet the needs of the families in the community. The ECE also provides opportunities for children with both typical and special needs to interact on a daily basis. The ECE works in conjunction with the Manager to ensure the needs of the children are met.
