Health Educator Staff

The health educator plays a crucial role in developing healthy and inclusive social, psychological, emotional, and physical first nation and metis communities by utilizing the circular model of holistic health care. The educator must ensure cultural and traditional needs are considered when developing health plans, employing shr values, guidance from elders, and specialized training to assist clients in sustaining life balance.

A bachelor's degree in a health-Related discipline is required, along with advanced skills in counseling, communication, and assessment. Candidates must possess knowledge in education/Program development, holistic health models, and crisis intervention, and ideally be fluent in cree, dene, and/Or saulteaux.
