Core responsibilities
The resource consultant provides inclusion supports to childcare providers and parents/Caregivers of young children, focusing on early intervention and successful inclusion by offering direct and indirect services. Responsibilities also include building capacity within childcare programs, families, and communities while promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Requirements summary
Candidates must possess an early childhood education diploma along with resource consultation certification, or an ece diploma with advanced studies in special needs, or a bachelor's degree in child studies, and must be registered with the college of early childhood educators. A minimum of three years' experience working with and programming for children with special needs is required, along with a valid ontario driver's license and satisfactory police check.
