The wilderness staff will lead and mentor campers through wilderness trips, instructing them in paddling, portaging, campsite setup, outdoor cooking, and environmental stewardship while managing trip logistics and gear maintenance. They will also model strong leadership, foster inclusion, support personal growth, and assist with necessary documentation and incident reporting.
Candidates must possess previous wilderness tripping or outdoor leadership experience, including proficiency in canoeing, navigation, and campcraft, alongside strong leadership and supervision skills. Required certifications include intermediate first aid with cpr-C and national lifeguard (Nl) pool, though paid training may be available for missing certifications.
