The life skills coach provides one-To-One and group life skills programming, such as cooking and mental health classes, to youth aged 16-21 to build independent living skills for stable housing. Responsibilities also include overseeing the youth housing program, coordinating resident-Led activities, maintaining accurate records, and managing program supplies.
Candidates must possess a post-Secondary degree or diploma in a social service related field, with a preference for a life skills certificate, and a minimum of two years' experience working with marginalized youth, including those with mental health and substance use issues. Required certifications include food safe handling, assist, cpi nonviolent crisis intervention, first aid/Cpr, and mental health first aid, along with a valid driver's license.
