Lifeguards are responsible for ensuring the safety and positive experience of all campers and staff at the waterfront, enforcing swimming and boating activities according to bcca, lifesaving, and ymca standards. Key duties include maintaining waterfront equipment, instructing high-Quality programming, and assisting the program staff team with general camp responsibilities.
Candidates must possess an nl certification and standard first aid with cpr c, and must be physically capable of performing the required duties outdoors in all weather conditions. Previous lifeguard experience is an asset, and meeting canada summer jobs criteria regarding age and legal entitlement to work in canada is mandatory.
