Core responsibilities

Provide one-To-One and small group support to students with special needs.
Adapt teaching strategies and activities.
Assist in preparation of teaching aids.
Reinforce learning activities.
Support personal hygiene and routines.
Implement techniques as demonstrated by the teacher.
Collaborate with therapists.
Ensure student safety.
Maintain confidentiality

Requirements summary

Post-Secondary degree or diploma in a related field.
Two years of experience with special needs children.
Willingness to learn new educational techniques.
Experience with first nations students is an asset.
Valid bc driver’s license.
Cpr and first aid certification
