The coordinator provides individualized support and group-Based parenting education to parents with intellectual and developmental disabilities to help them achieve parenting goals and foster healthy child development. Responsibilities also include collecting data, developing community connections for program sustainability, and performing intake and assessment processes for participants.
Candidates must have completed at least a two-Year post-Secondary program in a relevant field like developmental services or early childhood education, along with a minimum of three years of experience working with adults with developmental disabilities. A valid ontario driver's license, vehicle access, and willingness to obtain first aid/Cpr and non-Violent physical crisis intervention certifications are mandatory.
