<div> <strong>Posting #2627-249 Kalamalka Secondary</strong></div> <div><strong>2 Blocks in the area of English Teacher (Grade 8/9)</strong></div> <p><strong>SEM 1 BLK D</strong></p><p><strong>SEM 2 : BLK C </strong></p><div> <strong>This is a Continuing contract position. </strong></div> <p>This position is effective September 8, 2026 and will continue until June 25, 2027.</p> <p><strong>While all applicants will be considered, preference will be given to qualified applicants who self-declare Indigenous ancestry.</strong></p> <p>Please contact Jeff Huggins, Principal, if you have any questions about this position. </p> <div><strong> </strong> <div> <div> <p><strong>Secondary School Teacher</strong></p> <ul> <li>Possess a valid BC Teaching Certificate, membership in the BC Teachers Regulation Branch and eligibility for a Teachers Qualification Card.</li> <li>Bachelor of Education (Secondary) or equivalent with a major or minor in the subject area(s).</li> <li>Demonstrated current knowledge of the subject area, including Big Ideas, curricular competencies, content and appropriate resources</li> <li>Previous successful experience teaching the subject required</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to use a variety of teaching and assessment strategies</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment</li> <li>Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills</li> <li>Have knowledge and/or experience in the areas of outcomes-based instruction, assessment for learning, differentiated instruction and inclusive education</li> <li>Be proficient with technology and 21stcentury learning</li> </ul> </div> <p></p> </div> </div>
