The successful candidate will be required to teach undergraduate and/or graduate students as well as mentor/advise graduate students. The teaching assignments will include teaching in Medical-Surgical Nursing; as well as courses to reflect the expertise of the successful candidate within the needs of the School. Courses will be taught by means of interprofessional education; distance, online and context-based learning; and/or clinical simulation learning. Applicants must hold a minimum of a Baccalaureate degree in Nursing; a Master’s degree in Nursing and/or another health discipline; PhD prepared an asset, in Nursing and/or another health discipline. All applicants must have demonstrated a commitment to developing excellence in their teaching and practice. A combination of four to five years’ clinical and teaching experience in Medical-Surgical Nursing is required. Advanced experience in pharmacology and Nurse Practitioner is preferred. Applicants must be eligible for registration with the Nova Scotia College of Nursing. The candidate is expected to become an active and engaged member of the School, Faculty and University. Activities at local, national and international levels are expected to promote continuous improvement in teaching and learning at Dalhousie. There is no expectation of a research workload associated with this position. This position is available to start during Summer 2026, with the incumbent in place for the Fall 2026 semester.
