Position Title

Part-Time Academic (GELA 2000: Introduction to Geology) - Winter 2027 Posting Number PTAP3306P Department/Unit Engineering - Dal AC Location Truro, Nova Scotia, Canada Job Summary & Key Responsibilities This Part-time Academic will teach Lectures and Labs for GELA2000 Introduction to Geology for the period of January – April, 2027. The lectures are currently scheduled for Tuesdays and Thursdays at 8.35am-9.55am and the lab is scheduled for Wednesdays at 08.35am to 11.25am. The Part-time Academic will be responsible for all aspects of teaching and administering the class, including lectures, test preparation and evaluation. The position reports to the Chair of the Department. Qualifications/Requirements of Position At least one year experience in teaching in a postsecondary educational institution. Excellent oral, written communication skills, Collegiality and interpersonal skills. PhD in Geology, Soil Science or a related discipline OR Masters with two year experience in Geology, Soil Science or a related discipline.
